January 4, 2017: First snow tire experience on my way to work

It seems like a tradition in Czechia: the first snow falls at the beginning of the year. It is the second time I noticed this

Today I had to go to work, there was no escape. But instead of taking the bus, I decided to take my bike and test ride my snow tires.

I had the bike serviced right before going on holidays and the brakes were working perfectly

The first feeling on the snow was great. I had complete grip.

I cycled through the Lesopark Letnany which kept me away from traffic. I felt like a child in a toy-store with this new sensation of snow riding

I had so many nervous moments on my road bike that I am already traumatized by this snow and ice. But today that thoroughly changed

Magnificent to see this Lesopark Letnany covered in snow, not a single soul around. It gave me a magic feeling

Fabulous, the whole ride is only about 6-7km, but I already felt lost in thoughts

Snow tires are really the best

Next in line was Mladaboleslavska which led to Prosek

A good start of the year, better than last year for sure

After work I also cycled to Vinohrady in Prague in the dark. It was great to have so much power and grip in these circumstances
