Bad weather made me stay in late this morning, when it became better weather I headed out again:

Even though I did not want to, my GPS sent me again to Melnik

I left around 11 am, which is very late for a ride, but ok

I stopped at this gas station because it started raining: I had a lunch here

Strange weather today

In Melnik it started raining heavily so I decided to head home: I kept following route 16 in the direction of Mlada Boleslav

Lot's of rain

I navigated to Bysice

Hiding out for the heavy rain

Then it became stable and I made a big loop going home. Mind the skies

More trouble ahead?

I went home along the familiar road via Brazdim

I really love this bike, just need to find a good upgrade disc wheelset to make it complete

It was only paved half way, so nothing special

April 16, 2017: 50km touring bike test ride

I prepared my bike touring kit for quite some time, but it was time for a test ride also

I packed the front as full as I could

Same thing in the back, note that rack with panniers will come later

I planned for a 50K trip

First impressions where good, it was a bit heavy but when I was riding; it was manageable

I realized I visited this exact same location the same day one year ago. What a coincidence

Heavily loaded front, maybe a bit too heavy...

I already felt on the world journey

Honestly speaking the 28mm tires were not wide enough to provide comfort with this weight: It should be wider:

Carrying the bike was also very heavy and difficult

Keeping momentum high

GPS sent me through a little alley I had never visited before: Nice!

Winds were very strong and this was delaying me

Then it became offroad...

There was a dog here, first I thought it was a big fox

I met a couple and we started chatting: I told them I was on a big world journey: Their eyes almost popped out. They gave me a fortune clover.

Wind was very fierce today; last few weeks actually

Nice weather

In the Lesopark Letnany, almost home

Some adjustments need to be made, but it is manageable

Back home in Cakovice the weather got worse: It would rain eventually
